Math tutoring program for kids with disabilities

The City of Doral is offering a Math Advancement Program for students with special needs. Registration opens on Monday, January 14 and closes on January 16 at 8 p.m. Classes take place at Morgan Levy Park Community Center.

Space is limited. Priority will be given to Doral residents. Do not leave a voice mail. Call again or send an email to ensure you are registered. Registration is $20 for City of Doral residents and $24 for nonresidents.

The math program is a part of City of Doral’s Special Needs Afterschool Educational Program Series. The classes focus on each child’s specific weakness, with individualized instruction in a small group setting. The program is led by a pediatric therapist who works in the field of occupational therapy, behavior analysis, and educational psychology. Parent training is an integral part of the program.

The seven-week program is held one time for week for 45 minutes. The classes begin on Tuesday Feb. 5 and run through March 19. Classes will be held on 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  or 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. To register or more information call (305) 482-9590 or or visit
