The electro-AfroVenezuelan group Venezonix opens for Mexican Cumbia punk group Son Rompe Pera. Venezonix is Andres Ponce who performs original songs fusing traditional rhythms with futuristic beats and electronic textures while Son Rompe Pera a garage-marimba-cumbia rock sound played on the historic marimba. The Colombian duo 123 Andres presents a free high energy concert for kids. Called “Activate,” it’s an interactive bilingual program by the duo where the audience participates in recovering missing birds and untangling hilarious mishaps while contributing ideas along the way.
