Fort Lauderdale Air Show: how to watch free

The Fort Lauderdale Air Show starts at noon Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, 2024, featuring U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and other aerial performers.

You have to pay for reserved seating in a prime location, but you can see the air show from much of the beach for free. You can also watch practice runs on Friday for free.0

The paid zone extends north from Sunrise Boulevard though Northeast 18th Street along A1A. Tickets must be purchased online or by phone 954-241-7937. There is a 25 percent discount online through Friday, May 10

Las Olas Oceanside Park is south of the fee zone,  3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Parking  includes at Las Olas Beach Parking Garage is usually $4 an hour. Las Olas Oceanside Park features a vendor market on weekends.
