Free gardening for wildlife workshop in west Broward

Gardening for wildlife is great for homeowners and ideal for birds and pollinators. A free Gardening for Wildlife workshop is offered in Sunrise.

The workshop in 2024 is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Flamingo Park, with reservations required at 954-888-6043 or sustainability@sunrisefl.gov.

Sunrise Good and Green is presenting the workshop, which focuses on providing habitat for wildlife within the suburban landscape.

The program features information about Florida-Friendly Landscaping with native plants and shrubs, which tend to require less water and less work.

Participants who register receive seeds and plants that attract butterflies, while supplies last
