After intensive master classes in theater, dance, writing, visual and more, they will present several free events this weekend to show off what they’ve learned.
The National YoungArts Foundation is also inaugurating its new national headquarters at the former Bacardi building on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami.
Here are some of the free events open to the public:
- Friday, April 12, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., Writers’ Readings and Jazz Combo. National YoungArts Foundation, 2100 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33137. Free, but space is limited and reservations are required: firstname.lastname@example.org or (305) 377-1140
- Saturday, April 13, 7 p.m.: Visual Arts, Photography and Film Exhibition. BFI (Bas Fisher Invitational), 100 NE 11th Street, Miami, FL 33132.
- Sunday, April 14, 4 p.m. Dance, Music, Theater and Voice Performance. Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, 174 E. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33131. Free but reservations are recommended. There is a pre-performance reception at 2:30 that costs $10 in advance or $15 at the door for people 15 and older. That includes VIP seating.
