Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is presenting for free the Plants and People Program for Children with Autism and Their Families on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m.
This program gives an opportunity for children with autism to experience nature and step away from their highly-structured routines in a safe environment.
Parents and their children will receive complimentary snacks, a butterfly guide and crayons along with a tour of the Garden. Parents are invited to further explore the Garden after the tour and bring a picnic lunch. The program begins at the Visitor Center at 10 a.m.
Registration is requested one week in advance. RSVP to (305) 667-1651, ext. 3388. Early registration is encouraged as there is limited seating. For more information, call (305) 667-1651, ext. 3328 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fairchild offers this program free of charge with support provided by Lin Lougheed and the Aaron I. Fleischman Foundation.
