Street Art Galleries
Following the pandemic and a high retail vacancy rate, closures and an imminent streetscape construction project, provided a “blank canvas” on the 100 Block of E. Flagler Street. So, after months of shuttered venues, delivery-only restaurants, closed bars, and virtual performances, Olympia’s creative team collaborated with stakeholders in Downtown Miami’s historic Flagler District on a project to re-engage audiences, arts patrons, and downtown residents.
Hence, this redevelopment and creative project began transforming vacant storefront windows intoStreet Art Galleries for Miami-based visual artists to showcase their work and storefront alcoves and recesses became Street Stages.
Visitors are encouraged to patronize local establishments in an effort to revitalize the historic district. Find a list of nearby restaurants and bars here.
