This is a free exhibit where guests will be invited to eat the art made from six different kinds of cheese. There will also be wine and fruit available to compliment your palate.
It’s taking place at Wynwood Art District on Saturday, Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8, on Midtown Boulevard (Northeast Second Avenue between NE 31st and 32nd streets).
Since its inception last year, Basel Biergarten has become the go-to beer event during Art Basel. The best part is that you can get Florida brewed beers that are otherwise difficult to find at very decent prices. Local beer equals fresh beer, and in many cases it’s also cheaper. It certainly beats the $15 a drink you’ll find on Miami Beach.
It’s all a part of the Drink Like a Local Movement which encourages Florida residents to support local breweries. The event also has complimentary art and music.
The pop-up is open to the public starting at 4 p.m. Dec. 4-7 at 2600 NW Second Ave.
Miami Food Trucks will be rotating throughout Wynwood during Art Basel. For a full list of trucks, dates and locations check out this guide from Burger Beast.
Beer and Bites will offer bite-size food for $2 and a 30% discount on a full range of beer, wine and liquor. The new happy hour is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 2550 N.W. 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Wynwood arts district.
In addition to offering specially priced beer, City Hall The Restaurant offers bar bites, priced at $5 each or 3 for $12, as well as City Hall’s half-priced pizzas, and honey-glazed chicken wings at 6 for $6 during happy hour.
The restaurant is at 2004 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Happy hour runs 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday.
Art Kids provides supervision for kids ages 4-12 so their parents can enjoy the Art Basel Events. Food and drinks are provided free.
