In the year 2020, the city of Miami, along with the entire world, suffered a devastating blow from the onset of COVID-19. A place where hundreds of thousands of people flocked to for vacation getaways, destination weddings, nightlife, food, culture, and more, had become ground zero for racial injustice protests, widespread homelessness, and an endangered entertainment industry on the brink of implosion. This series delves into South Florida’s past and present through moderated conversation with artists, activists, and community stakeholders from a variety of disciplines. Each conversation is paired with a Miami inspired cocktail created by author, Mixologist, and Brugal 1888 Brand Specialist Gabriel Urrutia.
