Both tickets must be for the same movie, and the deal is good for a maximum ticket price of $15 each, including the Fandango $2 fee. It’s not good for IMAX or 3-D films, but it is good for movies that have just opened.

Every time I go to the movies, it seems as if the price has gone up again. These days, I can get an entire month of Netflix for less than the price of a movie.
But real movie lovers know that there is nothing like seeing a film on the big screen and sharing the experience with other movie lovers.
Matinees are still cheaper than evening shows, but most matinees in South Florida run $7.50 to $9, a discount of a few dollars. Seniors (usually 62-plus) and students pay less. The major chains have loyalty cards, which offer discounts. Discounts are sometimes available from companies that buy tickets in bulk. Regal Cinemas has a weekly concession coupon on its Facebook page.

The online movie ticket service Fandango is offering a Twitter promotion for two tickets for the price of one to The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, which opened July 14.
To get the buy one get one free deal, go to Fandango, pick out your theater and showtime On the second page of the order, there will be a box that says “Click here to apply Fandango Bucks, a gift card, or a promotional code to this order.” If you check that box, you’ll get a place to enter the promo code on the next order. The code is APPRENTICE.
Fandango adds a $1 service charge to each ticket, so you’ll get two tickets for the price of one ticket plus $1. The deal is good as long as supplies last.
Collect and send in four UPC codes from 10-ounce or larger packages of Hershey’s kisses, Reese’s peanut butter cups miniatures, Hershey’s miniatures, or York peppermint patties, and you’ll get a Fandango promo code good for one movie ticket (up to $12 value).
The deal requires a mix of online and mail steps. Before June 30, fill out the form on Hershey’s website. Print out the competed form and mail it in with the four UPC codes cut from the bags. In about four weeks, they’ll email you the Fandango promo code.
