The first full weekend of the month is coming, and that means Bank of America customers can visit museums free through the bank’s Museums On Us program. Just show your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card and a photo ID on Saturday or Sunday, and you will get free admission to more than 150 museums and attractions in cities across the United States.

In Miami-Dade, you can use your card for free admission to the Miami Art Museum, Miami Children’s Museum, Miami Science Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami and the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach.

In Broward County, you’ll find deals for free admission to the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science ,the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale and the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach.

In Palm Beach County, you can make a free visit to the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach.

You can also get free visits to museums in the Dania Beach, Jacksonville, Naples, Orlando, Saint Petersburg and Tampa Bay areas.

The Bass Museum of Art offers Art Club for Adults every Thursday, 1:30-3 p.m. The class is free with museum admission (students $6, adults $8). The museum is free for its members and Miami Beach residents.

The Bass Museum of Art will host an art class on “Hand and Feet Study” on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The class is geared to children 7 years and up. Free with museum admission (students $6, adults $8).

Students will enhance their art skills through specialized instruction and museum exploration. Working with an art teacher and various media, each student will have an opportunity to develop, enhance and perfect their technical art skills and portfolios.

Space is limited, call in advance to register. No charge for instruction or materials. (Priority given to scholarship students or students who have received certificates).

All themes are subject to variation and change. Lessons are the same on both Saturday and Sunday, students should choose one weekend day.

The Bass Museum offers free Family Days the last Sunday every month, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All ages.

These creative afternoons are full of exciting activities for the whole family: art projects, scavenger hunts and prizes.

On Sunday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m. the Bass Museum of Art, Miami Symphony Orchestra and City of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks present a concert on the lawn in Collins Park.

Bring a blanket, picnic and enjoy a free al fresco performance of “Ocean Drive in Vienna” by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eduardo Marturet. For more information about the concert, click here.

The Bass Museum offers free Family Days the last Sunday every month, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All ages. 

October 28 Art Detective: Discover the secrets of the Mummy

The museum will be transformed into a Halloween haunt with a gamut of ghoulish drawing and creepy arts and crafts. It will be a creative afternoon with activities for the whole family including art projects, face painting, family yoga sessions at 2:15, 2:45 and 3:15 and a Halloween costume competition at 3:30 p.m. with surprising prizes.

Complimentary snacks & treats will be provided. Family Day programming is designed for children and adults of all ages, visitors are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

The Bass Museum and Art Basel Miami Beach are collaborating on Art Public.

This free event, open to the public 24 hours a day through Sunday, Dec. 4, features sculpture and performance. It kicks off on Wednesday, Nov. 30, with three performances from 8 to 10 p.m. on the oceanfront at Collins Park, on Collins Avenue between 21st and 22nd Streets, Miami Beach.

Beats After Sunset is the museum’s monthly gathering featuring complimentary alcoholic beverages for those 21 and older as well as nonalcoholic drinks, frozen custard and beats by DJ El Commandant. There’s also a new exhibition on view. Admission is $8 or free for museum members and Basspass members.
