Parents of tween and teen girls 11 to 14 who are interested choreography, dance, cooking or a career in the healthcare industry may want to consider the free Groove Summer Program at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science.
Camp sessions will be June 30 to July 18 and July 21 to Aug. 8. Camp is held at 3280 S. Miami Ave., Miami and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
GROOVE is a research-based program that will introduce girls to nutritional health concepts, the benefits of increased physical activity, and empower them to make healthy choices. The summer program reinforces these concepts through hands-on activities, as well as lessons from experts in health and nutrition.
Space is limited. Once registered, participants will be randomly placed in one of the two camps and will be expected to attend all three weeks of the selected camp.
