Free On Stage performances: Love Songs of the Americas concert, play

OnStageThe talents of the MDC Kendall Campus Music, Theater and Dance Department students and faculty are the highlight of the On Stage series taking place from February to April. Performances are free.

On Stage will highlight the combined talents of students and faculty in the music, theater and dance department. Each season, the series presents performances from jazz and Gospel music to classical and theatrical realism and experimental dance.

The February line-up is:

  • Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m.: Kendall Comes Alive concert at South Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211 St.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 5, at noon: the Randy Tomasello Jazz Transcription Concert at MDC Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104 St., Hernandez Bldg., Room 8247.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 12, at noon: R&B Concert Ensemble at MDC Kendall Campus Shark Tank.
  • Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m.: Valentine’s Concert at MDC Kendall Campus McCarthy Auditorium, Room 6120.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 19, at noon: MDC Chamber Singers Men and Women at Riverside Baptist Church, 10775 SW 104 St.
  • Thursday, Feb. 20 and 27; Friday Feb. 21 and 28; Saturday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m.: Play “Shakespeare-Women-Love” directed by Deborah Mello at MDC Kendall Campus The Studio Theater, Room M113.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 pm.: Black Composers Recital at MDC Kendall Campus, McCarthy Auditorium, Room 6120.
  • Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m.: Cotton Club Black History Celebration at MDC Kendall Campus, McCarthy Auditorium, Room 6120.
  • Friday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m.: Civic Chorale of Greater Miami Love Songs of Americas Concert at Maximo Gomez Park, 801 SW 15 Ave.
