Keep that New Year’s resolution to stay healthier going strong by visiting the free Health and Safety Fair, Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MDC InterAmerican Campus, on Southwest SixthSt. between 25th and 27th avenues, directly across from the campus at 627 SW 27th Ave., Little Havana.
The fair aims to educate parents and children about how to stay safe in dangerous situations. Specialists will also conduct free health screenings for children up to 5 years old.
The fair features entertainment, giveaways and health-related presentations including firefighter demonstrations on how to stop, drop and roll in a fire emergency, as well as tips on health and wellness.
The Caring for Kids Child Safety Fair is an initiative of ConnectFamilias, funded by The Children’s Trust.
