Juneteenth celebrations in Palm Beach County

Juneteenth is a federal holiday marking the emancipation of those who were enslaved in the United States. It is about learning new ways to promote economic empowerment in the Black community and sharing ideas to address racial disparities. It is not only a time for commemorating the end of slavery and honoring Black history, but also a call to recognize the many accomplishments and notable contributions to our society by African Americans.

The festival is a great opportunity to connect with local and out-of-town consumers, business owners, and young professionals. Juneteenth is also about celebrating families, fostering a renewed sense of community and having fun with friends and neighbors. Some say it is an extended family reunion of sorts. There will be music, food and other vendors, community resources, games and good vibes. Note: No pets allowed.

This intergenerational event celebrates freedom and spotlights the African American experience with food vendors, an artisan market, live musical performances, dance workshops, gallery talks on art by African American artists, storytelling, and art-making activities.
