Winter holidays festivals, parades in Palm Beach

Festive events, DIY workshops and exciting holiday displays are featured in parks, shopping plazas and other public places. Plenty of events are free. Some are relatively inexpensive, or offer discount opportunities.

November 12-December 31

The Square in West Palm Beach hosts a holiday attraction November 12-December 31 that includes snowfalls, entertainment, and a light display. The Square is a shopping, dining and residential neighborhood at 700 S. Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach, FL.

Light shows and snowfalls are 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., with extra entertainment and events occasionally.

Festivities 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. November 12 include:

  • Santa and elves 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • snowfall at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m.
  • performances 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Tree light show after 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m.

November 18- January 3

Affordable Art Show is November 18  – January 3 in Boynton Beach. Items from South Florida artists and artisans at prices from $25 to $250. 

It’s at Boynton Beach arts & cultural center, 125 E. Ocean Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL.  It’s usually open 10 a.m. – 8 p,m. Mondays – Fridays, and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m Saturdays, with some exceptions.

November & December

Delray holiday lights Trail — drive  or walk along a variety of holiday displays and decorations on Atlantic Avenue and side streets in the downtown Delray district. Information is online.

November 19

Tree lighting with live entertainment, trackless train rides, food vendors and other fun in Boca is 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. November 19 at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real Boca Raton, FL. The event includes snow flurries, photos with Santa for a fee, photo ops, and other fun. Information is on the website.

November 26

Downtown Delray Beach Shop Small event November 25 and November 26 with entertainment November 26 and an opportunity for a free glass surfboard ornament by a local glass artist. Free ornaments are offered 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. November 26 to first 200 shoppers with receipts of at least $200 from November 25 or November 26 in Downtown Delray Beach shops. Information is online. ,

November 29

Delray Tree lighting 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. November 29 in Delray. Old School Square Pavilion, 51 N. Swinton Ave, Delray, FL. feature: Delray displays 100 foot tree and other holiday fun

Holiday In Paradise Sand Tree display and ferris wheel

Holiday Light Shows in 2022 feature a fun sand tree & ferris wheel rides. Usually offered 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. December 1-31,  with some exceptions. 100 N. Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, FL, website. Free for spectators. Ferris wheel is $5 or $20 for unlimited rides per day.

FAU Tuba Christmas is 5 p.m. December 4 at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL. featuring tubas and euphoniums. Entry is free.

Holiday Street Parade in Boca Raton with floats & entertainment and Groovy 70s vibe is 7:30 p.m. December 7, from Federal Highway and Southeast 5th Street north to Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, FL. website.

Recommended free parking is offered at City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road; Downtown Library. 400 NW 2nd Avenue; Building Administration, 200 NW 2nd Avenue.

December 9

Winterfest in Wellington offers fun activities and live entertainment including rapper Vanilla Ice, and entry is free. Festivities are  6 p.m. – 10 p.m. December 9 at Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road, Wellington 33414. Feature: Winterfest in Wellington

Boynton Beach & Delray Beach Holiday Boat Parade, 6:30 p.m. December 9, Intracoastal Waterway from Boynton Beach to Delray Beach, website

Holiday Pajama Parade is 6 p.m. December 10, 414 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth Beach. Information is online. Everyone is welcome to wear PJs, even Santa.

Delray Beach Holiday Parade is  6 p.m. December 10, on Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach.

Holiday Boat Parade in Lake Wellington features festively decorated vessels, is 6:30 p.m. December 10, and spectators are welcome to provide their own seating.

Wellington Holiday Parade is 1:30 p.m. December 11 with a theme of Favorite Holiday Destination.  Parade is on Forest Hill Boulevard. Information is online.
