Sweet potato pie. Live music. Dancing and games. Juneteenth festivities in Pompano Beach include the annual Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival.
In 2025, the festival is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 14, and entry is free. It's at Apollo Park, 1580 NW Third Avenue, Pompano Beach 33060.

The event includes games for kids, face painting, food vendors, poetry, dance, and other performances, Juneteenth history, and other festivities.

- Dottie Kelly, blues singer.
- Julius Sanna & Positively Africa.
- The Cross Family Band.
- Singer Kennadi Nikol.
- Poet Erick Carter.
- Ashanti Cultural Arts Dancers.
Activities and attractions include:
- Kids Old Fashioned Game Area.
- Face Painting.
- Fashion Show.
- Food Vendors.
- Delt the DJ.
- Historical Displays.
- Living History Museum.

Juneteenth, which is celebrated June 19, is a holiday representing the abolition of slavery in the United States. It commemorates the day in 1865 that the Emancipation Proclamation was honored in Texas.
