Halloween events in Broward

Trick or Treating. Pumpkins. Hayrides. Lots of parks, shopping plazas and farms in Broward are offering fall festivities and Halloween fun.

Many events are free, though some charge for activities. You will find fall festivals, Oktoberfest events, Halloween parties and more from Coral Springs to Hallandale Beach, from Pompano Beach to Miramar, through Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise and all the cities of Broward County.

We have found Halloween events for kids and for adults, plus many Halloween festivities the entire family can enjoy together. 

We have also listed South Florida's major haunted house attractions, even though most are not free or cheap. We have found discounts for some of your favorites.

Halloween events in 2025 in Broward

Outdoor film in Deerfield Beach

Film in Deerfield

7 p.m. Friday, October 17. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”  at Villages of Hillsboro Park, 4111 NW Sixth Street, Deerfield Beach

LauderBOO in Fort Lauderdale 

LauderBoo is 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Snyder Park, 954-828-4585, 3299 SW Fourth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale 33315. The event includes trick-or-treating, games and bounce houses.  Other features include Native Village animal exhibit and music. Entry and parking are free.

Trunk or Treat in Fort Lauderdale

Christ Church will hold its annual Trunk or Treat community party from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Christ Church Field. The event will include treat-or-treating at decorated trunks, bounce houses, carnival games and food for purchase. Admission is free.

Christ Church is at 4845 NE 25th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. Parking for the event is free.

Halloween carnival in Coral Springs, $5 – $8

The Halloween carnival in Coral Springs in 2025 is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 18 and a discount is available for tickets purchased before the event. 

Tickets purchased on the website by October 17 are $5 for ages 2 and older, and at the event, the fee is $8.  Feel free to dress up in your favorite Halloween outfit. 

The event includes games, a bounce house, a spooky walk-through, and a slide.  Treats, DJ entertainment  and a maze are part of the festivities. 

The Thrills & Chills carnival is at the Gymnasium, 2501 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs 33065. 

Halloween dance party in Fort Lauderdale

Halloween Dance Party 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, at Bass Park 2750 NW 19th Street, Fort Lauderdale 33311

Trunk or Treat in Cooper City 

Decorated vehicles are featured at Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday. October 24, in Southwest Broward. 

The event is hosted by Bright Star Credit Union, 3400 N. University Drive, Cooper City 33024.

Halloween Festival in Parkland

Parkland is throwing a Halloween festival 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 24, with trunk or treat and Halloween entertainment.  The pumpkin patch offers pumpkins for sale.

The venue is the Equestrian center, 8350 Ranch Road, Parkland 33067.

Halloween Hoopla, Tamarac

Halloween Hoopla is 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, October 24, at Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive. Entry is free. Free goody bags are distributed while supplies last. The event includes entertainment, food trucks, bounce houses and games.

Face painting is included in the festivities. Parking is free. 

Boo Bash in Hollywood

Boo Bash at ArtsPark in Hollywood is 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday, October 24, with free entry.  At 8 p.m. is a free outdoor movie in the park. ArtsPark is on Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway.  Street parking is $1.50 per hour. Garage Parking is $1 per hour. 

Halloween Bash in Oakland Park

Inflatable bounce houses and trunk or treat are included at Halloween Bash, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, October 24 at Wimberly Field, 4000 NE Third Ave.,  Oakland Park 33334. The event includes DJ entertainment and costume contests. Entry is free. Parking with free shuttles is at Oakland Park City Hall,  3650 NE 12th Avenue, Oakland Park.

Boo Bash in Pompano Beach

Boo Bash 

4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, October 25. with free entry, at the Amphitheater, 1801 NE Sixth Street, Pompano Beach.

The event includes:

  • performances
  • pumpkin patch
  • pie eating event 
  • lumberjack show
  • public safety representatives
  • DJ
  • rides and hayrides
  •  vendors 
  • 8 p.m. costume contest 

Fall Festival in Margate

Fall Festival in Margate is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 25, and entry is free. The event  includes pony rides and haunted house.  Food and artisan vendors are featured. The venue is the sports facility at 1695 Banks Road, Margate 33063. Costume and other contests are included. 

Hollyweird in Hollywood 

The event for adults  in Hollywood draws lots of  people including participants in elaborate outfits entering events that offer prizes totaling about $10,000.

Hollyweird on Hollywood Boulevard at 19th and 20th Avenues in downtown Hollywood is 9 p.m. Saturday, October 25 until 2 a.m., and entry is free. 

Trunk or Treat & Vehicle Show at Plantation Walk 

Trunk or Treat featuring decorated vehicles is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, October 25, with treats handed out while supplies last. 

The event at Plantation Walk shopping and dining plaza includes live entertainment. Show vehicles are able to set up at 2 p.m., and entry and parking are free. 

Plantation Walk is at 321 N. University Drive, Plantation 33324.

Pumpkin Splash in Tamarac, $5

Pumpkin Splash offers floating pumpkins. pumpkin decorating, and balloon art. Entertainment includes magic. 

The event  is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, with an entry fee of $5 and registration online is required.

The venue is Caporella Aquatic center, 9300 NW 58th St., Tamarac. Parking is free. 

Halloween in Davie

Halloween Festivities in Davie are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Bergeron Rodeo, 4201 Rodeo Way, Davie. Entry and parking are free.

Pumpkins and Palm Trees in Fort Lauderdale

The Pumpkins and Palm Trees event includes a trick or treat trail 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale 33316. Fees apply for some of the activities.

Parking, including Las Olas Beach parking garage, 200 SW 1st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, is usually $4 an hour. Other features include games, vendors, DJ, photo ops, and a pie baking event.  Feel free to wear costumes. Pets are permitted.

Trunk or Treat in Davie

Hot Rods Halloween and Trunk or treat are featured 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, at Old Davie School. The historical venue  is at 6650 Griffin Road, Davie 33314. Entry is free for spectators. Register a vehicle prior to the show for $15 and at the show if space permits for a fee of $20.

Horse & Hound Halloween in Pompano 

Horse and Hound event is 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 26, at Sand and Spurs Equestrian Park, 1600 NE 5th Avenue, Pompano Beach 33060.

The event includes:

  • hayrides
  • photo booth 
  • food trucks 
  • bounce house 
  • costume contest for horses and for dogs

Spooky Good Time Halloween Party 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, at Lauderdale Manors Park, 1340 Chateau Park Drive, Fort Lauderdale  33311

Halloween event at shopping plaza in Pembroke Pines with trick or treating, $5

The Shops at Pembroke Gardens is featuring a Halloween event 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29 and tickets for kids are $5.  

The event includes trick or treating at restaurants and stores.  

The costume contest is at 7 p.m. 

Entry is free for adults.

The plaza is at 527 SW 145th Terrace, Pembroke Pines 33027. 

Halloween Boo Bash at The Galleria mall 

The Halloween event is 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. October 30 at Galleria Fort Lauderdale, around the Swarovski store. 

The event includes

  • trick or treating
  • photo ops 
  • cookie decorating 
  • costume contest for 12 and younger  

The Galleria is at 2414 E. Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33304. 

Haunted House in Hollywood

A Haunted House is 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday October 30 in Hollywood and entry is free. 

The venue is Driftwood community center, 3000 N. 69th Avenue, Hollywood. Parking is free. 

Trick or Treat in Miramar

Halloween Trick or Treat event offers food trucks, treats and entertainment 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, October 31, at Ansin Sports. Entry is free. The address is 10801 Miramar Boulevard, Miramar 33025.

Free Halloween events at Broward libraries

Wicked Manors in Wilton Manors

The popular street festival for Halloween  is 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, October 31, on Wilton Drive. Tickets are $14.52 with fees if purchased prior to the event online.  At the event, tickets are $15 and fees are extra. Premium tickets that include drink vouchers are $40.08 online, including fees. VIP tickets are about $135 before the event, including fees. Parking is $20.

Costume contests are featured for grownups.

Halloween event for adults in Plantation

Halloween event 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Friday, October 31 features a costume contest for ages 18 and older. Entry and registration are free. Information is on the website 

Halloween in Hallandale Beach 

Games, entertainment, photo stations, treats, and food trucks are among the festivities 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31 in Hallandale Beach. 

The event includes haunted mazes.

Halloween event in Pompano Beach

Treats and entertainment are included at a Halloween event McNair recreation 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, 951 NW 27th Avenue, Pompano Beach. The event is free. 

Trunk or Treat in Pompano Beach

Trunk or Treat is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31 at Skolnick recreation center, 800 SW 36th Avenue, Pompano Beach.
