Trick or Treating. Pumpkins. Hayrides. Lots of parks, shopping plazas and farms in Broward are offering fall festivities and Halloween fun.

Plenty events are free.  Fees apply for some events and some activities.

Riverwalk Fall Festival, Fort Lauderdale

Riverwalk Fall Festival is 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. October 15, with free entry and relatively inexpensive fees for activities. School of Rock performs. Esplande Park is at 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312. Feature: Riverwalk Fall Festival

Trick or Treat fun in Sunrise, free

 Halloween Boo Bash event for kids and families is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. October 29 with trick-or-treating and free entry.

Fun includes DJ entertainment, games and photo ops. Dress up for a costume contest. Bring a bag for candy.

Plantation Fall Festival, $5

Family Fall Festival in Plantation is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. October 15 at Volunteer Park. Entry is $5 per person. It’s free for toddlers younger than 2.

Volunteer Park is at 12050 W. Sunrise Boulevard, Plantation. The event features a kids fun zone, haunted house, hayride, pony rides, petting zoo, fire exhibit, pumpkin patch for pumpkin painting and photo ops, and activities. Costume contests are included. Refreshments are available to purchase. Parking is free.


Fort Lauderdale Parks, free

Free events in Fort Lauderdale:

Hollyweird in Hollywood, free entry

6 p.m. – 2 a.m. October 29 is a downtown Hollywood block party on Hollywood Boulevard and 19th Avenue, Hollywood.

Entry is free. Street parking is $1.50 an hour. Parking in garages is $1 an hour.

Fall Festival at LOOP in Fort Lauderdale, free entry

Trick-or-treating and activities are featured at Pumpkins and Palm Trees fall festival at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale. It’s 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 23, and entry is free. Outdoor film in Weston, free

8 p.m. October 8 “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania”

Bow Wow Ween, Pembroke Pines, free

Free event 9 a.m. –  1 p.m. October 8 at the dog park, 9751 Johnson Street, includes dog vendors and activities.

Boo Bash, free

5 p.m. -10 p.m. October 28 at Pompano Community Park, 1660 NE 10 St., Pompano Beach, website

Entry is free. Fees apply for some activities and for beach area parking.

Wicked Manors, $10

Wicked Manors is 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. October 31, 2022, with $10 entry fee.  

For youngsters and families, free Trick-or-Treating is offered 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Wilton Drive at participating vendors.

Festivities are on Wilton Drive, Northeast 21st Court to Northeast 26 Street and Dixie Highway. Wicked Manors Halloween event 

Halloween Attraction at Tree Tops Park, fees apply

The Haunt Halloween Attraction outdoors at Tree Tops Park in Davie is select dates in October.

Regular fee is $60. Discounted rates of $45 and $49.99 are offered  for tickets purchased by September 25, valid for eligible dates.

Hollywood, free

“Trunk o Treating” and other fun is featured at a Halloween Spectacular 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. October 31, with free entry and free activities.
