Tote along a bag. Or a plastic pumpkin for your treats. Events at parks, recreation facilities and fall festivals offer opportunities for kids to Trick or Treat for Halloween.

Many trick or treat events in Broward are free.

Trick or Treating in Broward Events in 2024

Fort Lauderdale

LauderBOO Halloween event presented by Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation with trick or treating and games is 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, October 19, at Snyder Park, 954-828-4585, 3299 SW Fourth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale 33315. The event includes trick-or-treating, games and bounce houses.  Other features include Native Village animal exhibit and music. Entry and parking are free.

Dania Beach

Dania Beach Fall Festival includes trunk or treat, pumpkin patch, and other activities. Entry is free. The event, which includes fried Oreos, is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 25, and parking is free. It's at Frost Park, 300 NE Second Street, Dania Beach. 

Oakland Park

Halloween Bash with free entry 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, October 25 includes truck or treat at Wimberly Field, 4000 NE Third Avenue, Oakland Park 33334. Games, bounce houses and other features are included.

Halloween Festival in Parkland

Parkland is throwing a Halloween festival 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 25 with trunk or treat, DJ and Halloween entertainment. The festival is at Pine Trails Park, 10561 Trails End, Parkland 33067. The pumpkin patch offers pumpkins for sale.

Entry is free.

Halloween at Gulfstream Park Village in Hallandale Beach

Trick or treat stations are featured at the Halloween festivities  at Gulfstream Park Village open-air plaza, 954-454-7000, 901 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale 33009. The event is 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday, October 26 and entry and parking are free.

The event includes

  • 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Trick or Treat stations are featured
  • food trucks and bars
  • strolling performers & DJ

Feel free to wear costumes. 

Trunk or Treat & auto show in Plantation

Plantation Walk dining and shopping plaza is featuring Trunk or Treat for kids 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, October 26 with entertainment and treats. The event includes a car show with decorated vehicles. Entry and parking are free. The venue is at 321 N. University Drive, Plantation.

Halloween Family Fest at plaza in Pembroke Pines

Trick or treating, pumpkin decorating and vendors are featured at the Halloween fest 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, October 26, and entry is free. The event is at Shops at Pembroke Gardens, 527 Southwest 145th Terrace, Pembroke Pines 33027.  For a costume contest, register by 2 p.m. with South Florida Life Magazine.

Trunk or Treat in Davie

Davie Police & Fire departments present Trunk or Treat 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at the Public Safety offices at 1230 S. Nob Hill Road, Davie. The event includes a DJ, decorated public safety vehicles and food trucks with food for purchase.

Trunk or Treat in Davie

Hot Rods Halloween auto show and trunk or treat are featured 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27  at Old Davie School. Entry is free for spectators. Register a vehicle before 11 a.m. if space permits for a fee of $20.

Halloween event in Pompano

Trick or treating at vendor booths is featured at a Halloween event  6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 31 at McNair recreation, 954-786-7882, 951 NW 27th Avenue, Pompano 33069. Free entry. Free parking. 

The event includes:

  • bounce houses
  • treat bags
  • Halloween display

 

Trunk or Treat & Halloween festivities in Plantation

Plantation Parks and Recreation is featuring Trunk or Treat 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, October 31 with free entry.

The event includes haunted selfie room, music, and treats.

It's at Pine Island Park, 320 S. Pine Island Road, Plantation 33324. Parking is free.

Dress up for a costume contest.

Trunk or Treat in Hollywood

Trunk or treat, bounce houses, haunted house, food trucks, games and entertainment is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 31 at MLK Jr. recreation facilities. The venue is at 2400 Charleston Street, Hollywood 33020, 954-921-3412

Halloween event in Hollywood

A Halloween event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 31 at Driftwood recreation, 954-967-4241, 3000 N. 69th Avenue, Hollywood 33024. Entry and parking are free.

Broward Mall in Plantation

Trick or Treat at Broward Mall Thursday October 31, 8000 W. Broward Boulevard, Plantation 33388. The website features participating stores. Distribution is while supplies last.

Wilton Manors

For youngsters and families, Trick-or-Treating is offered 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday, October 31 on Wilton Drive at participating vendors prior to Wicked Manors street festival. Entry is free 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. for  parents or guardians with kids. To enter or stay after 6 p.m., entry fees are required. Entry fees are Tickets are $10.61 with fees online.  At the event, tickets are $13.70. Parking fees apply, usually $20.

Trick or Treat at Hammerstein House in Hollywood

Trick or treating is offered  5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday October 31  at the historical house, 1520 Polk St., Hollywood, entry is free. The event is presented by Hollywood Historical Society.
