Pumpkin Patches in greater Palm Beach

Pumpkins are delightfully versatile. They’re food. They’re decorative. They’re vibrant props for photos. In sunny South Florida, pumpkins and pumpkin patches are in parking lots, at festivals and at farms.

Some pumpkin patches allow you to walk in and shop without paying an entry fee.  Others are part of fall attractions, often with rides and other activities, and a fee is required.  All are ideal for photo ops.

Pumpkin Towne pumpkin patches in Wellington and Jupiter are open as of October 6, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., while supplies last. Entry is free. On site are a bounce house, hay bales, and photo ops. They offer a free recipe for pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin Patch Festival in Boca Raton

October 15-16 Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival, includes pumpkins for purchase, decorating pumpkins, rides, food vendors, scarecrow village and photo ops. It’s at  Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton 33432. Entry, which includes rides wristband, is $29.43, including tax & fees. Entry is free for infants & toddlers

Bedner’s farm

Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival event is Wednesdays to Mondays launching September 24 at Bedner’s, 10066 Lee Road, Boynton Beach 33473, 561-733-5490, with a, 24.99, excluding  tax, entry fee.

The event includes:

  • entry to pumpkin patch
  • animal EDventure park
  • tractor ride
  • entry into sunflower field, if available
  • maze

Parking is free.  Purchasing food, sunflowers, and pumpkins is extra.

Fun with Pumpkins, Delray

Delray GreenMarket  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. October 29  is including a pumpkin display for photo ops, a free paint a pumpkin art project, and professional pumpkin decorating demonstrations. Trick-or-Treating is offered at participating vendors is offered. The event is at Old School Square Park on Swinton Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. Information is online

Spooky Safari & Pumpkin Patch

Attraction at Animal EDventure is offered Wednesdays – Sundays in October, and reservations and payment prior to your excursion are required.

Fees are $25 and free for kids younger than 2. The venue is on private property, 8545 US Highway 441, Boynton Beach.

It’s a family-friendly walking tour with a pumpkin patch and real animals, including sloths, kangaroos, fox, zebra, llamas, fox and others. Other fun includes a hay maze. Extra fees apply for interaction with some of the animals. Costume contests are included.
