Fall and harvest festivals 2022: Broward and Palm Beach

Regardless of the weather in The Sunshine State, South Florida embraces Autumn with festivals and other seasonal events. Fall festivals often feature pumpkins, hayrides & scarecrows. Pull out your plaid shirt and roll up the sleeves. Lots of events in Broward and greater Palm Beach are are free. For others, fees apply.

Dania Fall Festival with Trunk or Treat

Dania Fall Festival is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. October 28 in Thomas Park at 100 NW 8th Avenue, and entry is free. The event includes

  • petting zoo
  • hayrides
  • face painter and balloon artist
  • costume contest
  • games

Riverwalk Fall Festival

Riverwalk Fall Festival is 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. October 15, with free entry and relatively inexpensive fees for activities. School of Rock performs. Esplande Park is at 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312. Feature: Riverwalk Fall Festival

Fall Harvest Festival

Fall Harvest Festival is 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. October 15 at Welleby Park, 11100 NW 44th Street, Sunrise 33351. The fest includes a petting zoo and rides for kids. Games are included. Food vendors and other vendors are on site. Entry is $5 for kids 12 and younger, and it’s free for teens and adults. Feature: Harvest Fall Festival in Sunrise

Plantation Fall Festival

Family Fall Festival in Plantation is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. October 15 at Volunteer Park. Entry is $5 per person. It’s free for toddlers younger than 2.

Volunteer Park is at 12050 W. Sunrise Boulevard, Plantation. The event features a kids fun zone, haunted house, hayride, pony rides, petting zoo, fire exhibit, pumpkin patch for pumpkin painting and photo ops, and activities. Costume contests are included. Deerfield Fall Festival

Deerfield Fall Festival is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. October 15 at Pioneer Park, 217 NE 5th Ave., Deerfield Beach.  The festival includes fun activities, food vendors, live entertainment and a pumpkin patch with one free pumpkin per family, while supplies last.  Feature: Fall Festival in Deerfield

Vegan Block Party Fall Festival

Vegan Block Party Fall Festival is 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 15 at Huizenga Plaza, 32 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. The event in October includes yoga, costume contests and other fun. Entry fees online are $13.10 for adults, including tax and fee. Entry is free for kids 10 and younger. Pumpkins & Palm Trees Fall Festival at LOOP in Fort Lauderdale, free entry

Trick-or-treating and activities are featured at Pumpkins and Palm Trees fall festival at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale. It’s 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 23, and entry is free. Margate Fall Festival

Fall Festival is 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. October 22 at Margate Sports, 1695 Banks Road, Margate, 954-972-6458

Entry and activities are free. Festivities include pony rides, petting zoo, food vendors, artisan vendors, and fun for kids. A “haunted house” is featured.

Contests include

Harvest Festival at Flamingo Gardens

Pony rides, hayrides and other fun are included weekends in October at Flamingo Gardens attraction in Davie. Regular entry fees and discount opportunities apply. Entry fees are $14.95 – $21.95. Feature: Harvest Festival at Flamingo Gardens in Davie

Fall Festivals in Greater Palm Beach

Boynton Beach

Fall Festival is 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. October 15, offering activities, pumpkin decorating, face painting, entertainment, food vendors, police and fire personnel, and free treats for kids. Free.

It’s at Centennial Park, 120 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach, east of City Hall.  Entry and parking are free. 

Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival

October 15-16 Boca Pumpkin Patch Festival includes pumpkins for purchase, decorating pumpkins, rides, food vendors, scarecrow village and photo ops, at  Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton 33432, entry, which includes rides, is $29.43, including tax & fees. Entry is free for infants & toddlers.

Palm Beach Gardens

Fall Festival is 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. October 22 at Gardens North County District Park, 5101 117th Court N., Palm Beach Gardens 33418. The event includes activities, entertainment and food vendors. Trick or treating is offered. Wear costumes.
