Free daytime entry through March at Winter Equestrian Festival, Wellington

If you're a fan of watching champion equines compete in jumping and dressage events, then this is the time to visit Wellington and see live events for free!

For the 2026 season at Wellington International's Winter Equestrian Festival, spectators get free general admission Wednesday through Sunday during the main winter season (January-March) during daytime events.

Winter Equestrian Festival

  • When: Wednesday-Saturday,  through March 29, 2026
  • Free Times: Generally, from 8 or 9 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. each day.

Where:

Cost: General admission is free and open to the public during the day, Wednesday-Saturday, except Jan. 31, which is a special fundraising benefit day. Note: This is a cashless event, don't forget to take your cards with you.

Features: Wellington International bills the festival as the largest annual equestrian competition in the world, drawing thousands of competitors and horses from more than 42 countries and all 50 states. Plus, there are exhibits, vendors, entertainment and special activities; onsite prices vary.

You can attend most high-level show jumping and shopping during these free daytime hours. Ticket prices apply for specific evening features like Saturday Night Lights, etc. Parking is only free at Equestrian Village.
