Beer drinkers around South Florida know that Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are home to a number of local breweries and of course, they're celebrating Oktoberfest (or Octoberfest if you so prefer!) with plenty of fanfare.

At Tripping Animals Brewing in Doral here's what they've got planned. Tickets for each day are $10 and RSVP is required:

BAVARIAN SATURDAY (Sept 23) Special Ticket German Promotion with axe throwing from 4-7 p.m., live polka music by Miami Polka Kings from 8-11 pm. and that special food menu by Meat n' Bone again.

SHOWDOWN SUNDAY (Sept 24) will feature fun Brewers Olympic games from 1-3:30 p.m., axe throwing 1-4 p.m. with live polka music by Miami Polka Kings from 1-3 p.m. plus the special food menu.

In Hialeah at Unbranded Brewing, festivities take place Sat., Sept. 23 from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

In Fort Lauderdale at The Wharf For Lauderdale, Oktoberfest is being celebrated from noon until late into the night on Saturday September 23. The event includes live music, drink specials and more. Entry is free, with food for sale. You must be 21 to go to the The Wharf.
