This is a free, public event, that premieres local talent from a coalition of Historic Coconut Grove churches, schools, civic groups, social service organizations, and the community-at-large to celebrate the 30th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
What: “The ABC’s of the Civil Rights Movement”
When: Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 2 p.m.
Where: St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 136 Frow Ave., Miami
This event is presented by the Sanctuary of the Arts & The Coconut Grove Ecumenical Network.
A light-fare brunch reception will be available prior to the production. This year’s production will feature the youth of the community and will bring culturally relevant theatre and celebrate the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., while also educating the community about the struggle and unsung heroes of the Civil Rights Movement.
