Free carousel rides Sundays in September at Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton

The colorful carousel with 30 hand-carved horse reproductions inspired by 19th-century designs in this Boca Raton park is celebrating its 20th anniversary with limited edition tokens and FREE Sunday rides all September long.

• When: Sundays in September, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Where: Sugar Sand Park, Boca Raton, 300 S. Military Trail

Commissioner Elaine Kleinman and The Four Rotary Clubs of Boca Raton helped bring this vintage-inspired treasure to life in 2005 — and it still features two chariots (one wheelchair-accessible) for everyone to enjoy.

Rides on other days cost $1; Tuesday-Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m.; and Saturday-Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
