Sea turtle release

Nemo, the beloved sea turtle has enjoyed the snacks during his rehabilitation stay at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center but it's time to wave goodbye. He will be released on Thursday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m. on the beach located behind the Center in Loggerhead Park, 14200 US Highway 1, Juno Beach, FL 33408.

Nemo is a 212-pound adult male loggerhead sea turtle. He arrived at the Center on Dec. 20, 2022, after he was found floating in the water at the St. Lucie power plant with a prop strike on the right front flipper. Dr. Barron amputated the distal aspect of the flipper and he Nemo made his way to a healthy recovery.
