Water parks and pools in Palm Beach

Marco-Polo — Spish-Splash, come on in, the water's fine. Grab your swimsuits, it's time for some aquatic fun under sunny South Florida skies.

While some pools, like those at the YMCAs, are usually open year-round, others, such as water parks with slides and many municipal or community pools, tend to be seasonal. The good news is that it's once again bikini time. But don't forget the sunscreen!

Looking at prices: The breakdown for a family of 2 adults, 1 teen or adolescent and 1 toddler at most water parks can mean shelling out an average of about fifty bucks per visit, which is average for a family of four. But, did you know that a family membership at a local YMCA costs about the same, and it comes with unlimited visits per month? Many water parks also offer afternoon discounts after 3 p.m., so don't forget to ask. Most PBC parks charge a nominal entry free, with a separate swim pass to access the pool.

Remember: Drowning Doesn't Have a Season in Florida and many YMCAs and other centers participate in the statewide WaterSmart Program for non-swimmers ages 3-11. There is an online application process to qualify. Click HERE for more information.
