Best things to do in March in Miami-Dade

Spring has arrived and that means plenty of events around Miami-Dade, especially annual ones like the Gifford Lane Stroll to kick off the month, then Carnaval on the Mile followed by the Calle Ocho Music Festival the next weekend.

Finally, kicking off mid-month and lasting until the first week of April is the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair. Of course, we couldn't forget about St. Patrick's Day so we have a link to our big post with events around Miami-Dade and we'll also remind you of some monthly ones not to miss.

Spend the first day of March at the annual Gifford Lane Stroll in Coconut Grove. On March 1, 2026 from noon to 5 p.m., meander down quiet Gifford Lane between Oak and Day avenues on the 3200 block. There you'll find more than 40 artists, many of them locals displaying their art in unconventional places like trees, on fences, clotheslines and ladders and yes, on easels. Click here for all the info.

Also back are the annual Carnaval on the Mile the weekend of Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., taking place in Downtown Coral Gables on Miracle Mile. Plenty of music stages, kids activities and art vendors make for a fun time. The following weekend the annual Calle Ocho Music Festival on happens on Sunday, March 15, 2026 on Calle Ocho (SW 8 St.) on the main drag between 12 and 27 avenues from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and it's a party! Several stages are set up throughout the festival and bands representing all of Latin America perform as well as folkloric dance groups. International food, lots of games and plenty of giveaways round out the fun day. Click here for all the info.

Smack in the middle of the month, the annual Miami-Dade County Youth Fair returns to the Tamiami Park fairgrounds. From March 12 through April 5, 2026 enjoy a multitude of carnival rides, new food offerings, the circus, ice skating shows, pig races and plenty of student work exhibitions. There are plenty of discounts and deals throughout the fair's run. This year's theme is “Wild About the Fair” and to celebrate that is the new Safari Encounter by Immersive Productions. Click here to see them all and plan your outing.

And as promised, here's a reminder of some monthly events plus, our St. Patrick's Day event post:
