Piano Slam at the Arsht Center

Watch the future of the arts on stage at The Dranoff 2 Piano Fusion Piano Slam 2026 at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. The performance is free to the public. RSVP here for limited free tickets.

Piano Slam is a classical, hip-hop and spoken word mash-up featuring Miami's top teen poets. Participating students will perform original poems they composed based on their life experiences or live classical music they heard in school.

This year's event features Martin Bejerano and Daniel Strange on two pianos and Miami’s top young poets performing “Searching for Home,” inspired by the creative writing journey of presidential poet laureate Richard Blanco and directed by the award-winning Teo Castellanos.
