Piano Slam at the Arsht Center

Watch the future of the arts on stage at The Dranoff 2 Piano Fusion Piano Slam 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. The performance is free to the public. RSVP here for limited free tickets.

Piano Slam is a classical, hip-hop and spoken word mash-up featuring Miami's top teen poets. Participating students will perform original poems they composed based on their life experiences or live classical music they heard in school.

The 20 teens will for the time be judged by a live judging panel led by presidential poet laureate Richard Blanco and including Haitian poet Mecca “Grimo” Marcelin, Miami-Dade poet laureate Caridad Moro-Gronlier and Miami Book Fair executive director Lissette Mendez.
