Holiday boat parade in Boca Raton CANCELLED

This event has been cancelled because of bad weather and will not be rescheduled in 2023.

Boca Raton's Holiday Boat Parade in Boca Raton will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, with watch areas offered in designated parks.

The parade starts at the Canal and travels south to the Hillsboro Boulevard Bridge.

It's not to late to become part of the parade. Deadline to register your boat is 5 p.m. Nov. 21. Entry is free.

Public watch areas include

  • Red Reef Park, 1400 N. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton 33432.
  • Wildflower Park, 551 E. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton 33432, limited parking.
  • Silver Palm Park, 600 E. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton 33432, limited parking.

Bridges will close at these approximate times:

  • 6:50 p.m.: Spanish River
  • 7:20 p.m.: Palmetto Park
  • 7:30 p.m.: Camino Real

Teresa Mears is a publisher, writer and editor who was raised to be frugal. She became a website entrepreneur after 30 years as an editor at newspapers ranging in size from the Portland (Tenn.) Leader to The Los Angeles Times and The Miami Herald, where she worked most recently.
