Here is the synopsis of the new eight-episode limited TV series:

Based on Georgia Hunter’s NYT bestselling novel, the television adaptation of “We Were the Lucky Ones” is a limited series inspired by the incredible true story of one Jewish family separated at the start of WWII. The series follows them across continents as they do everything in their power to survive, and to reunite. It demonstrates how in the face of the twentieth century’s darkest moment, the human spirit can endure and even thrive. The series is a tribute to the triumph of hope and love against all odds.

The Hulu series stars Joey King, Logan Lerman, Hadas Yaron, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Amit Rahav, Sam Woolf, Michael Aloni, Moran Rosenblatt, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi, and Robin Weigert. It was written and adapted from the book by Erica Lipez, who is also executive producer.  Director is Thomas Kail.

Here is how to get free passes to “We Were the Lucky Ones”:

  • Thursday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. at AMC Aventura. Download passes here (you will need to create a Go FOBO account if you don't have one already).

The number of passes are limited. Getting a pass doesn't guarantee seating.

It's smart to arrive early. Sneak previews are often overbooked to ensure a full house, so you must arrive early and prepared to wait in line. Seating is not guaranteed, just because you have a pass in hand. (By the way, movie studios also reserve seats for the press and VIPs. That’s why you see all of those seats with tape across them at every screening.)
