It’s a day of multicultural mythological exploration where you can sculpt miniature deities and symbols inspired by pre-Columbian mythology with GOGO MOAD; learn about Afro-Caribbean drumming and its significance in oral traditions and folklore with a Miami Bloco drum workshop; delight in theatrical storytelling based on Greek mythology ; and marvel at a celebratory lion dance performance accompanied by drumming and a kung fu demonstration.

In between these activities you can snap a selfie with a Japanese kitsune spirit  character and take a family photo with roving Greek characters from Creative Stage Productions. And North Miami Beach Discovery Library will be on-site with Caribbean mythology books to explore and a mythological monster coloring activity. You’ll also learn about MBF’s Books for Free program and leave with a story time picnic basket filled with books for the whole family to enjoy.
