Free: Journey of American Jazz, Lake Worth, Sept. 18

The public is invited to join the Journey of American Jazz presented by Arts4All Florida in Palm Beach County. This event is in partnership with the Elevar Foundation.

Journey of American Jazz

  • When: Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, from 7 to 8 p.m.
  • Where: CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, 2728 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth.

Meet the performers and experience the instruments firsthand. All ages welcome. No reservation required. 
 

Program:

The Journey of American Jazz will feature the Klezmer Company Jazz Orchestra & Jazz Singer Ja’Nia Harden performing music found in archives throughout America, Latin America and the Library of Congress. Jazz music blossomed between 1920 and 1940 encompassing a wide variety of cultural elements and styles of music, literature, and poetry.

The concert will include songs by Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, and famous Latin songs such as Bésame Mucho, Cachita, and Guantanamera.

Following the performance, the evening will offer light refreshments as well as an opportunity to meet the musicians and experience the instruments.
