Free International Museum Day events

Established on May 18, 1977 by the International Council of Museums, International Museum Day was, created to recognize the importance of museums in cultural understanding and awareness. Last year, more than 37,000 museums participated in the event in about 158 countries and territories.

The 2024 theme is “Museums, Education and Research.” Here's what's going on around South Florida on Saturday, May 18, 2024:
