Fandom Frenzy and all things geek in West Palm Beach

THIS POST IS BEING UPDATED FOR 2024

You are invited to help celebrate “all things geek” during its fourth annual “May the Fandom Be with You,” a Comic Con-style monthlong event featuring dozens of free programs, contests for all ages, including tabletop gaming to comics and, yes, also Anime.

Fandom covers a lot of territory, from Korean boy bands, K-Pop and Disney to Dungeon & Dragons or Japanese monsters and mascots; plus graphic novels and more. And this genre isn't just for children and teens. Many of these activities are also for adults who enjoy gaming and other fandom pursuits.

So, if you're a fan of pop culture, check out these activities for different age groups at the Mandel Public Library, 411 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Visit the Library's online calendar for even more activities.

These events include a Star Wars takeover, tabletop gaming workshops, a discussion on Baldur’s Gate, a create-your-own mini Godzilla, a chance to learn about the connection between superheroes and Jews, and even in-person pin trading.
