Free: Family ‘Rec Pop-Up Day,’ Oct. 17, Boca Raton

Since there is no school on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, for students in Palm Beach County public schools, the City of Boca Raton is inviting families to its first-ever “Rec Pop-Up Day.” This is a day for you and your child to have an opportunity to explore, play, and create fun stuff for free!

Rec Pop-Up Day

  • When: Friday, Oct. 17, from noon to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Wildflower Park, 551 E. Palmetto Park Road
  • Cost: Free
  • Website

You not only will get a chance to meet some of the Parks & Recreation staff, but you'll also get a chance to try out activities, challenges, and games for all ages. The city will provide the fun and music. All you need to take is a bathing suit to enjoy the splash pad and your own picnic. Beverages and frozen treats will be available for purchase.
