Free entry on Memorial Day for military & vets

Spend Monday, Memorial Day, 2026, with free admission for active military and veterans and a vintage garden shop experience at Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N. Military Trail,  in West Palm Beach, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I.D. required.

Mounts Botanical Garden welcomes everyone to kick off summer with a day filled with beauty, reflection, and discovery. To mark the holiday, the Garden will open on Memorial Day, even though it is usually closed on Mondays.

To honor those who serve, active-duty military members and veterans can visit for free on Memorial Day.

Standard admission: $20 for adults; $18 for seniors, college students, and military with ID; $13 for ages 6-17; free for children under age 6.

Visitors to this 20-acre tropical oasis will not only see an acclaimed collection of 25 display gardens containing more than 7,000 species of tropical and sub-tropical plants, including Florida native plants, but also an eclectic array of exotic and tropical fruit trees, ornamentals, herbs, palms, roses, cactus, succulents, bromeliads and more.

A permanent exhibit at Mounts reveals the mystery of the Rapa Nui moai, as three imposing 20-foot-tall statues stand sentry at the Garden as replicas of the iconic monolithic figures located on Rapa Nui, Easter Island, in Chile. The tribute is meant to inspire curiosity and to serve as a link to ancient history, art and culture.

Open Tuesday-Sunday at 9 a.m. Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach; 561-233-1757.

See mounts.org for more information and details about upcoming and ongoing events and programs. There is no charge for onsite parking.
