LagoonFest 2023

Did someone say Road Trip? If you're up for a scenic drive from South Florida northward, here's a perfect excuse to hit the road for a day trip to the Indian River Lagoon in Vero Beach.

The Environmental Learning Center is hosting LagoonFest 2023 on Saturday, April 1, on the lagoon island campus, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Entry is free.

LagoonFest activities and experiences will be set up in various areas across the property, including Canoe Quick Trips and Pontoon Boat Rides. Canoe Quick Trips are available for $5 and 45-minute Pontoon Boat Rides are $15.

Captain Hiram’s is sponsoring a treasure hunt for children. Eco-friendly exhibitors and vendors will be set up on the grass lawn area called the Oval in front of the Thomas R. Schidel Education and Event Pavilion. The ELC education staff will have environmentally friendly crafts for all ages. Pond dip netting is available for everyone who wants to get their feet wet and explore life in the Indian River Lagoon. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
