Come lounge in the InterContinental Miami's lobby every Monday night during the Noche de Arte, a weekly live art event where you can watch art being created right before your eyes.
Noche de Arte is hosted by local artists Jean and Iggy Font, founders of CollaboARTive in the Bird Road Arts District. Their monthly event strives to bridge the gap between artist and viewer. Although artists often work in seclusion, the Fonts offer them the opportunity to showcase their art to the public and appreciate those who step out of their comfort zone to do so.
The program offers artists a month of solo exhibition in the Lobby of the InterContinental Miami Hotel, and features the artist making work in the Lobby every Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
Here's info on November's featured weekly installment:
The November series is inspired by the people, places, and ideas that have shaped Hip Hop Culture in celebration of the music genre's 50th Anniversary. The event will feature an exhibition of works by Miami-based graffiti artists Miss Lushy and Louiedeology, alongside complementary activations such as Graffiti Art, Music Listening Stations, MC/Songwriting, and Music Production. The series is presented in partnership with PATH: Preserving, Archiving, and Teaching Hiphop, Inc.
Noche de Arte is presented in partnership with collaboARTive, InterContinental Miami Hotel, Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, and with support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
