Kids to Parks Day, Wellington

The National Kids to Parks Program is a great way to get kids and families outdoors and enjoying the benefits of nature. The program offers a variety of activities and events for kids of all ages, and it's a great way to learn about the natural world and connect with your community. 

This year's roster of events for 2024 offers a day of outdoor play that is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. So, lace up your sneakers, head outside, and join your friends and neighbors for a day of family fun and outdoor activities.

Following are some free Kids to Parks Day events in Palm Beach County:

North Palm Beach

Junior Ranger Jamboree 

This event is a great way for kids to spend the day at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, learn about Florida's natural and cultural resources and make new friends! The Jamboree will include fun activities, a ceremony, and a picnic with Park Rangers. New Junior Rangers can be sworn in and receive their own Junior Ranger badge. Existing Junior Rangers can receive stamps in the passport to level up.

Kids to Parks Day

Activities include:

  • Character Entertainment from 10 to 11 a.m.
  • Crazy Games
  • Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos
  • Inclusive Inflatable
  • Lawn Games
  • Music & Dancing with Digital Vibez
  • Laser Tag
  • Rock Wall
  • Sports Activities
  • Vendors on site

Attendees will also have the opportunity to get to know local first responders with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, and explore vehicles from their fleet.
