The City of Boynton Beach will celebrate Earth Day 2023 on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centennial Park, 120 E. Ocean Ave., under the banyan trees. This free, family-friendly celebration will include a 300 tree giveaway provided by Community Greening, a 100 plant giveaway sponsored by the City’s Recreation and Parks Department, music, arts and crafts, raffles, face painting, bounce houses, giveaways and more.
Several eco-friendly organizations and vendors, including Climate Reality and the Boynton Beach Garden Club, will be exhibiting as part of the event’s Eco Market & Expo. Multiple departments will also be on site, offering up raffle prizes such as gift baskets, gift cards to local restaurants and additional Earth Day themed items.
Be sure to wear your “hungry” hat because food trucks will include Troy’s BBQ, The Picnic, and Kona Ice will be on site offering a variety of fare available for purchase.
“The City’s annual Earth Day Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for attendees of all ages to learn more about sustainability,” stated Poonam Kalkat, the City’s Utilities Director.
Free parking is available on the corner of Boynton Beach Blvd. and Seacrest Boulevard. (entrance is located off Boynton Beach Blvd.). Go Green – ride share is encouraged. For the safety of attendees and vendors, the following roads will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.: East Ocean Avenue, from Seacrest Boulevard to SE First Street and SE First Avenue, from Seacrest Boulevard to SE First Street.
