Wolfson Market & Movie is free, Miami

Mark your calendar: Miami-Dade College is hosting its monthly blow-out event called “Market & Movie,” for the fall of 2024. Not only will the Wolfson Campus feature an open-air market, but there will also be live music, dance, food trucks, games and other festivities, including pets for adoption.

When: Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m.; the movie “Selena” starts at 7 p.m.

Where: Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus, 300 NE 2nd Ave., Miami

Take the family and furry friend to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with live music, games for kids, and explore outdoor market filled with local vendors offering a variety of unique products. Find artisanal treats, to handmade crafts, and tasty fare from food trucks.

After you've shopped to your heart's content, grab a seat and enjoy a movie under the stars. 

Also meet dogs and cats that are in need of their FUR-ever home and will be available for adoption!

Schedule:

  • 5-6 p.m.: Live Music by Guitars Over Guns (by NE 2nd Avenue entrance)
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Beginners Spanish (BIT Center, Room 2103-01)
  • 5:30-7 p.m.: Salsa Social (by fountain outside Building 1)
  • 6:15-6:30 p.m.: NWSA dance performance (plaza by movie screen)
  • 7-9 p.m.: Selena

These events are free and open to members of the community, residents and visitors alike. Vendor prices vary.
