Now that the holidays are over (or are they?) South Floridians can get back in the groove of attending feasts and festivals, with music, dance, activities and entertainment.

Here's a sampling of what is happening in Palm Beach County during January of 2025:

Food Trucks, Lakeside Market & Free Concerts, Wellington

From Thursday, Jan. 2, through Jan. 30, 2025: Free Lakeside Market and Food Truck & Music Series, Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. in Wellington. Plus, free concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Where: Wellington Amphitheater, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd.


Clematis by Night, free weekly concerts, West Palm Beach

When: Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. 
Where: Great Lawn on the waterfront, 100 N. Clematis St.

First Friday @ 5 Concert, Boynton Beach

  • When: Friday, Jan. 3, 2025, 5-9 p.m.
  • Where: Centennial Park & Amphitheater, 120 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach, FL 33435
  • Band: Whisky Six, 6-9 p.m.
  • Live Performances: Capoeira Karkara: 5:15-6 p.m.; Dynamic Duo Line Dancing: 7:20-7:40 p.m.

 


Hansel and Gretel story by Palm Beach Opera, Delray Beach

When: Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library, meeting room, 14350 Hagen Ranch Road, Delray Beach

Members of the Palm Beach Opera will perform this classic fairy tale with a singalong storytelling experience and craft! Children will learn how music can transform a familiar tale.

This show is suitable for children: Preschoolers to teens. Dozens of seats are left but they are going fast. Reserve your spot here for free.


Dress as a dinosaur for Guinness World Record, West Palm Beach

Friday, Jan. 10, 2025: Free Dino Double Feature, 7-10:30 p.m.
Before the movies at 6:30 p.m.: Join the COX Science Center as it attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Dinosaurs.” Visit CoxScienceCenter.org/event/300-dinos for more information and to RSVP by Jan. 3, 2025.

Art & Jazz on The Avenue, Delray Beach

When: Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Pineapple Grove, NE 2nd Ave from East Atlantic Avenue to NE 3rd Street, Delray Beach

Features live mural painting and live entertainment on multiple stages. For younger attendees, an interactive children's area will offer face painting and other fun. Food will be available for purchase, plus there will be opportunities to shop local. Free admission.


Boca Street Fest

Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025: Boca Raton celebrates 100 years, noon to 4 p.m., at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, and throughout the park with performers, vendors and lots of family fun. Free; vendor prices vary.


Chinese New Year Celebration, Wellington

  • When: Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025. The market will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Lion Dance & Martial Arts Performances 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Wellington's Lakeside Market, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington.
