St. Patrick’s Day festivals, parades & events in Broward

Plantation

St. Patrick's Day at Plantation Walk features live bands including Apostle Floyd Encounter and The Radio Band 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at the shopping and dining plaza, 321 North University Drive, Plantation. Entry is free.

Hollywood

Vertigo performing U2 hits for St. Patrick's Day is featured 7 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at Hollywood bandshell on the beach at 320 Johnson St. Entry is free. Parking at the beach is $4 per hour Friday through Sundays. Residents of Hollywood may apply for a discounted rate. Parking information is available online.

“Leprechaun 2” 

Gateway theater in Fort Lauderdale is featuring the vintage film “Leprechaun 2” .

The film, which in the event promotion is described as “gloriously gory,”  is featured at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at Gateway theater, 1820 E. Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33304. The price is $5 online.

Hollywood

Eat, drink and be entertained. St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival in Hollywood is 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10, with a parade at 1 p.m., live entertainment at 19th Avenue & Hollywood Boulevard, and fun activities for kids. Live bands are U2 by UV and Uproot Hootenanny.

Fort Lauderdale

Striping The Street with green for the parade and festival is 4:30 p.m. March 15 with bagpiper at Tunnel Top Plaza, Las Olas Boulevard and Southeast Sixth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival in Fort Lauderdale is 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.  Saturday, March 16 and entry is free. The parade with floats, bagpipers and vintage vehicles, is at 12 p.m. on Las Olas Boulevard from about Andrews Avenue to Southeast Ninth Avenue. The festival is at Tunnel Top Plaza on Las Olas Boulevard and Southeast Sixth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale 33316. The festival includes a kids zone, Irish dance performances and other entertainment.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, 21 W. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale and other locations in Dade and West Palm Beach are featuring St. Patrick's Day drinks March 16-17, including $6 green beer, $7 green tea and Patron tequila shots, and $8 green margaritas on draft.

The Wharf  Fort Lauderdale outdoor event venue on The New River is featuring St. Patrick's Riverfront Festival after 12 p.m. Saturday March 16 and Sunday March 17 includes entertainment, games and food for purchase. RSVP online for the opportunity to nab a free shot glass. The venue is offering a deal with a shot of Irish whiskey, receive  a  free Harp Lager . The Wharf Fort Lauderdale, 954- 372-7606, is at 20 W. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale.

 

Harborwood Urban Kitchen & Bar in  Hyatt hotel  on Las Olas Boulevard is offering corned beef sandwiches, Irish grilled cheese with Guinness, $8 Green Tea Shots and $10 Irish Espresso Martinis.  Representatives of the restaurant describe the location as a prime venue for watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade at 12 p.m. Saturday March 16 on Las Olas Boulevard. 

Flagler Village’s Bar Crawl 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. Saturday, March 16 in Fort Lauderdale, includes entertainment, free shots, and drink deals. Tickets online are $25.95 group rate or $31.65 including tax and fee. Includes 5 free shots at participating venues.

Bokampers Sports Bar  is featuring corned beef & cabbage.

Baresco in Pompano is offering Sunday, March 17,  $5 green beer.

Brimstone  in Pembroke Pines is featuring $5 beer and a photo booth, website
