Free: Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, Aug. 28, West Palm Beach

Calling all Parrotheads to take part in a free tribute concert to honor long-time, part-time Palm Beach County resident Jimmy Buffett, whose timeless music captures the spirit and soul of South Florida.

“Wastin’ Away on the Waterfront,” West Palm Beach

Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, at Centennial Square & Great Lawn, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Jimmy's music will be brought to life by Parrot Head Party, one of Florida’s premier Buffett tribute bands. Attendees can experience the transformation of the venue into a beachside, sun-soaked singalong of classics like “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and “Margaritaville.”

To quote the man himself: 

“Tomorrow may come
It usually does
Don’t know what it brings
To the two of us
I just want you to know
What I’m ready to do
Anything, anytime, anywhere, for you”

BYOBlanket and lawn chairs. There’s plenty of food and drinks for purchase and a laid-back vibe to enjoy under the stars.

This event is part of the weekly Clematis by Night series every Thursday, weather permitting. In addition to the live entertainment, there will also be drink specials, food vendors and fun for the entire family.

  • The Banyan Street Garage, located at Banyan Boulevard and Narcissus Avenue, just one block North of Clematis Street
  • The Evernia Street Garage, located at Evernia Street and Olive Avenue, just two blocks South of Clematis Street
  • The City Center Garage, located at Banyan Street and South Dixie Highway, just one block north of Clematis Street
  • Numerous private parking lots in the downtown area are also available for parking and a free trolley runs round-trip from Clematis Street to CityPlace. Handicap parking can be found in the City parking garages.
