Free shower head, toilet rebate

Miami-Dade County wants you to save water. The county has several incentives to encourage that.

The county give you a free high-efficiency shower head in exchange for an old one, up to two per household. You can exchange pre-1996 shower heads during business hours at the Caleb Center, the South Dade Government Center and the water-sewer department office on Douglas Road.

Miami-Dade also offers a rebate of up to $50 for installing a new Water Sense-certified high-efficiency toilet.
