Free immunizations, health screenings

shotsMiami-Dade County Public Schools in partnership with the Urban League of Greater Miami and Jessie Trice Community Health System are offering free immunizations and selected screenings including oral health to students.

The free services are available Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through July 25 at Miami Northwestern Senior High, John H. Peavy Health Clinic at 1100 NW 71 St.

Additional no-cost immunizations along with select screenings including oral health, laboratory services, sick visits and physical exams for new school students are being offered Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 2 at the following locations:

  • North Miami Beach Senior High, 1247 NE 167 St., North Miami Beach
  • North Miami Senior High, 13110 NE 8 Ave., North Miami
  • Booker T. Washington Senior High, 1200 NW 6 Ave., Miami

The latter program is offered by The Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation School Health Initiative – through the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, in partnership with M-DCPS and The Children’s Trust
