Free admission & programs at Norton Museum, Saturdays in August

The Norton Museum of Art is offering children ages 5 through 12, and their accompanying grownups can participate in a free gallery experience, followed by a related workshop each week through August.

There will also be live music and storytelling on Aug. 16, plus docents will host 15-minute spotlight tours of the collection in English and Spanish every Saturday.

Celebrating Art Around the World

Family Studios, Saturday, Aug. 2, 9, 23, 30, 2025

  • 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.: Gallery Experience  
  • 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.: Art Workshop

– or –

  • 1 to 1:15 p.m.: Gallery Experience  
  • 1:20 to 2:20 p.m.: Art Workshop

NOTE: Space is limited. Online registration required. Walk-ins welcome if tickets remain on the day of the program.

Community Day, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025

These are FREE programs and parking is free but limited. Each weekend is a new experience. Visitors are encouraged to ride-share, carpool or use public transportation if possible.

Create your own expressive mixed media works inspired by elements of music to gain an appreciation for how music has influenced art.

Program info:

Families celebrate the diversity of artistic expression from across the globe. Inspired by the Norton’s Collection, families will explore and create art that reflects the beauty and diversity of cultures around the world, fostering a deep appreciation for the global community we all share.

This is a FREE program. Registration opened one month in advance.
