Free: Children’s Holiday Fishing Classic, Wellington, Dec. 13

The Village of Wellington is hosting the 35th annual Children’s Holiday Fishing Classic, for ages 15 and younger.

Children’s Holiday Fishing Classic

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Where: Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road
  • Cost: FREE to participate. Registration required.

Schedule:

  • Check-in opens at 8 a.m. (look for the blue tents)
  • Review of Tournament Rules 8:30 a.m.
  • Tournament 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Awards and Fish Tales 11 to 11:30 a.m.

The tournament is open to all local area children and guests.

Participants are strongly encouraged to take their own fishing rod – a very limited supply of fishing rods will be available to use for those who don’t have their own.
